DC Assault . is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing young athletes (ages 8-17) with the opportunity to develop their basketball talents while fostering sportsmanship, leadership in the community and academic excellence.

Weekend Workouts

Each weekend Chris Cole holds training sessions at local Prince George's County High Schools. These trainings are for players of all ages to come and improve there game. Also, there will be guest coaches such as Eddie Jordan, former Head Coach of the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers. Check the training schedule for specific times and locations.

Levels & Terminology of Cycling Abilities

There are SEVEN LEVELS of Cycling Abilities: Note: Professional Cyclists are NOT to be admired, or emulated in their cycling styles and methods!!!

THE LOWEST LEVEL OF CYCLING ARE THE: POSERS = 100% Flat Terrain, between 15 – 20 kilometers, wearing minimum gear, no water, minimal body armour, on a Track, POSERS and PROFESSIONALS are SYNONOMOUS in that they emulate eachother’s styles… by utilizing Medical and Mechanical Vehicles following them at all times. POSER & PROFESSIONAL Routes are protected from all obstacles, and traffic (such as are races). POSERS & PROFESSIONAL Cyclists are also renown for their excessive consumption and use of Self-Enhancing Performance Drugs (DOPING)also known as Steroids, such as the former world champions: American Lance Armstrong and the Spaniard Cyclist “Matador“. NO hills, and no extra gear, bike weighs no more than 5 pounds! POSERS & PROFESSIONAL Cyclists, constantly stand on their Pedals or out of saddle, whenever the going gets too tough for them! Unfortunately 80% of Cyclists Worldwide,( Excluding: Italy, the U.K. and Germany ) are primarily POSERS who pretend to be Professional Cyclists in their style of cheating.

Novice = First learners, can ride up to 30 kilometers, of 90% flat terrain, carrying only a Spare Tube and 1 liter of water. (With Expert Cyclist Supervision, for Safety, Medical, Mechanical and Emergencies). Novice Cyclists, however still Stand on their Pedals, or Out of Saddle, whenever faced with inclines or tough routes.

Beginner = Can ride between 40 – 50 Kilometers with a sustained velocity on plateu’s of 20 kilometers per hour, stopping for rest / recuperation no more than 3 times in the journey, and carrying a 3 Liter Camel-back for water, and 80% flat terrain. (With Expert Cyclist Supervision, for Safety, Medical, Mechanical and Emergencies). Beginner Cyclists, however still Stand on their Pedals, or Out of Saddle, whenever faced with inclines or tough routes.

Intermediate = Ride up to 60 kilometers, carrying full body armour ( no skin exposure ) and complete helmet, 3-Liter Camel-back, 70% flat terrain, and stopping no more than 3-times during the tour for rest or recuperation. (With Expert Cyclist Supervision, for Safety, Medical, Mechanical and Emergencies). Intermediate Cyclists, however still Stand on their Pedals, or Out of Saddle, whenever faced with inclines or tough routes.

UPPER-INTERMEDIATE: Ride up to 80 Kilometers, carrying full body armour = no skin exposure, even on finger-tips, and Complete Helmet, with protective eye-wear, and a 3-Liter Camel-Back of hydration. Additionally Upper-Intermediate Cyclists, carry their own Bike Repair Tools, Energy Food, and Emergency Medical Kits along with up to two extra Liters of H20. Only 60% of their Routes are Flat Terrain, whilst the remaining 40% are Inclines. Upper-Intermediate Cyclists only stop for Bicycle Maintenance or for a restroom break, but never for purchasing food, water or resting. Upper-Intermediate Cyclists however, NEVER Stand on their pedals, or out ride out of saddle!

ADVANCED: Ride up to 100 Kilometers, carrying full body armour = no skin exposure, even on finger-tips, and Complete Helmet, with protective eye-wear, and a 3-Liter Camel-Back of hydration. Additionally Advanced Cyclists carry their own Bike Repair Tools, Energy Food, and Emergency Medical Kits along with up to Four extra Liters of H20. Only 50% of their Routes are Flat Terrain, whilst the remaining 50% are Inclines. Advanced Cyclists only stop for Bicycle Maintenance or for a restroom break, but never for purchasing food, water or resting. Additionally Advanced Cyclists likewise, NEVER Stand on their pedals, or out ride out of saddle!

EXPERT -OR- MASTER ALPINO CICLISTA: = (Include upper-Intermediate & advanced cycling methods) Carrying up to 25 Kilograms of Extra Gear. 80% of the routes are Inclines, of 10% or Higher. They always wear full body armour, and ride between 125 – 150 Kilometers, Non Stop, (except for repairs, and emergencies) with 10 Liters of Water, Food, Medical and Mechanical Equipment, and Emergency Survival Gear, and Experts NEVER Stand on their pedals, or ride out of saddle!

DEFINITIONS:

What is a POSER?

A Poser is someone who has a lot of money, and uses his money to purchase a fast and expensive bicycle, from either the US or Europe. Many Posers worldwide consist of Politicians, High Ranking Military Officials and imbeciles who believe themselves to be above society… Geographically Posers usually originate from the following continents: all Asian continents, the America’s especially Canada and the United States and Eastern Europe (former Soviet Union). Posers primarily consist of people who are insecure about themselves or their career fields… for example: A Dental Surgeon might be insecure because he’s not a real doctor, and thus compensates for his insecurity by portraying himself as an avid or Professional Cyclist, when in reality he’s nothing more than a mere Poser.

Posers are primarily thin, with little to no muscle mass on their bodies… their legs (the primary muscles of any Real Cyclist) are especially thin and lack any visible muscles!

The Poser is identified easily by their weak yet seemingly strong cycling ability. A Poser will NEVER accept a Cycling challenge by anyone for fear of being identified as a Poser (actually a weak cyclist). They only ride their bicycles on perfect days with Clear Skies and ZERO Wind. Furthermore Posers always ride their bicycles wearing the bare minimum of clothes, and carrying absolutely No excess weight including No water, while wearing stylish yet flimsy useless helmets and expensive sunglasses. Nevertheless all of their Cycling Clothes will be high end expensive brands from Europe, along with their entire Bicycle set-up.

Posers always ride slow, and peddle on descents, stand on their pedals when on inclines as well as decrease their gears to the lowest possible (easiest) levels on minor inclines.

Posers rate their abilities as experienced Cyclists simply by adding their total mileage cycled per week! Therefore they (Posers) cycle frequently on flat surfaces such as tracks, or around parks, and even Manipulate Their Digital Odometers to increase their weekly mileage. Whereas REAL CYCLISTS measure their ability by the types of terrain, weather and weight that they carry while Cycling!!!

Posers act like they are professionals who know what they are doing, and utilize their Status within their society to boost their status as elevated Cyclists… hence a lot of Posers are insecure about themselves, their careers and usually possess tons of money to throw away on boosting their personified false image to the general public.
